NCC Cadets of PCM SD College for Women pay tribute to martyrs of Kargil War

Jalandhar, July 26, 2022: NCC unit of the army wing celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' and remembered its war heroes who selflessly laid down their lives to save their motherland. This day marks the victory of Indian Armed forces in Operation 'Vijay' in 1999.
The event began with Principal Prof (Dr.) Pooja Prashar, Lieutenant Priya Mahajan and the NCC cadets observing a minute silence as a mark of respect towards the departed souls. The cadets sang a patriotic group song on the occasion. A documentary film was also shown to the cadets to instill in them patriotic fervour. They also pledged allegiance to their nation and to be at its command when in need. The principal addressed the cadets by emphasising the relevance of this day and prompted them to join the Indian Army.
Members of the managing committee and Principal appreciated the efforts of the cadets and ANO Lieutenant Priya Mahajan for having celebrated this historic day.
