NCC Cadets of PCM S.D.College for Women Commemorate 81st Anniversary of Quit India Movement

Jalandhar, August 9, 2023: The vibrant spirit of patriotism and freedom echoed through the premises of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar as its NCC cadets commemorated the 81st Anniversary of the historic Quit India Movement. Marking this significant day, the cadets paid a solemn tribute to the brave souls who fought tirelessly for India's independence. The cadets gathered at the college premises and took a pledge to work hard to create India that our freedom fighters would be proud of. Cadets made posters and wrote slogans to showcase the valour and determination of our freedom fighters.
Highlighting the importance of the day, President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Prof (Dr.) Pooja Prashar communicated that the aim of such programmes is to instill a sense of responsibility towards the nation and reverence for our freedom fighters by foregrounding their selfless sacrifices for the well-being of the nation.
The Principal also applauded the efforts of the Associate NCC Officer Captain Priya Mahajan and NCC Cadets for successfully conducting the event.
