NCC Cadets perform traffic control duty in one race half marathon

One race half marathon was organized in Jalandhar city today. In this marathon, NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College along with Jalandhar Police played an important role in controlling the traffic of the city. 60 cadets of Army wing and 21 cadets of Air wing performed this duty at different intersections from Guru Gobind Singh Stadium to CT College, Shahpur.

Jalandhar, December 2, 2024: One race half marathon was organized in Jalandhar city today. In this marathon, NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College along with Jalandhar Police played an important role in controlling the traffic of the city. 60 cadets of Army wing and 21 cadets of Air wing performed this duty at different intersections from Guru Gobind Singh Stadium to CT College, Shahpur.
 
Army Wing Cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College belong to 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. Battalion Commander Colonel Vinod Joshi praised the courage of the cadets. He said that the race started at 6.30 am but the cadets were deployed at 5.30 am in pre-arranged squares. Traffic Incharge Ranjit Singh explained their duties to the cadets and they all performed accordingly till the end of the race. Associate NCC Officer Dr. (Lt.) Karanbir Singh was also with the cadets. He said that as per the instructions of Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College, all the cadets have contributed to the smooth running of the traffic system in this race. He said that the One Race Marathon in Jalandhar started in 2022 and every year our cadets have been helping the police administration in controlling the traffic arrangement.
