NCC Group Commander felicitated RDC participant Cadets
Jalandhar, August 14, 2024: Republic Day 2024 participant cadets who won in various competitions held in Delhi were felicitated by Group Commander at NCC Group Headquarters. Brigadier Ajay Tiwari, Sena Medal Group Commander, Group Headquarters NCC felicitated 18 NCC cadets of 6 battalions by giving trophies and certificates. Captain Priya Mahajan, Associate NCC Officer, PCMSD College, 2 Punjab Girls Battalion was also faciltated by Brigadier Ajay Tiwari. Captain Priya Mahajan stood first in the Refresher Course at Officer Training Academy, Gwalior. The participants in this refresher course included 124 ANOs from India. Brigadier Ajay said that Captain Priya Mahajan has secured the first position among 124 women ANOs in the country and has been the best in various competitions, which is a matter of pride for the Jalandhar Group. Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab NCC Battalion said that the Republic Day Camp is the biggest of the 15 national camps of the NCC. To reach the Delhi camp, the cadets have to go through tough competitions in nine camps. Each camp lasts for 10 days. Brigadier Ajay Tiwari congratulated Captain Priya Mahajan and 18 cadets from various battalions for coming out victorious from the tough competitions. 18 cadets of Jalandhar group are the pride of Punjab. Colonel MS Sachdev, Commanding Officer 2 Punjab Girls Battalion, Colonel RP Singh Deputy Group Commander Jalandhar, Colonel Arun Jaggi, Training Officer and trainers of various units of the Army and civil staff of Group Headquarters participated in the event.
