Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust organised Annual Inter–College Debate

Ludhiana, November 4, 2023: Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust organised the Annual Inter–College Debate on the topic “Social Media Brings More Harm Than Good” as a part of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru 134th birthday celebrations at Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Panday Auditorium, Ludhiana. 

A total of 13 teams from various colleges of Ludhiana participated in the debate. On this occasion Parveen Sayal, Trustee of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust & members of Managing Committee of Horizon School of Excellence was the Chief Guest. Sayal apprised the audience that Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust is a charitable organisation actively engaged in the welfare activities for the underprivileged and less fortunate sections of society. Promotion of youth and youth leadership was one of its key features.

Sunil Gupta, Vice-President of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust attended the debated alongwith eminent educationists of the town.

The speakers presented their views on the topic confidently and fearlessly and displayed their oratorical skills. It was a lively debate that had all shades of arguments and counter arguments, from pessimism to ultimate optimism. Well researched instances of persons and personalities who changed the world by sheer conviction and perpetual goodness kindled the motion. Not only that, the intelligentsia present was awestruck by the performance of the participants. The chief guest complimented the participants for their brilliant performance. He said, he was impressed by the logical and analytical approach of the speakers.

The overall running trophy won by Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana.

The Nehru Trophy and the individual prizes would be presented to the winners on 9th November 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in a function being held at Panday Auditorium, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Ludhiana.
