Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghthan organised a State level declamation competition at Govt College for Girls, Ludhiana on 15th February where all the 1st prize winners of Declamation competition at District level participated on the theme MYBharat- Viksit Bharat@2047.
Ludhiana, February 16, 2024: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghthan organised a State level declamation competition at Govt College for Girls, Ludhiana on 15th February where all the 1st prize winners of Declamation competition at District level participated on the theme MYBharat- Viksit Bharat@2047.
A panel of 3 Judges, Navdeep Singh, Jaspreet Kaur and Atal Bajpai -having the field expertise judged the participants on the criteria of content, communication skills, presentation skills, clarity of ideas and thoughts and confidence level. The speech for the competition would be of 7 minutes duration (maximum) in Hindi, English or official language of the state only. The prizes at the state level competition were 1st Prize– Rs. 1,00,000, 2nd Prize- Rs.50,000, 3rd Prize for 2 persons- Rs 25,000 each. Sakshi Sharma from Jalandhar won the first prize, Namit Preet Kaur from Ferozepur won the second prize and Arshdeep Kaur from Fazilka and Anchalpreet Kaur from Kapurthala won the third prize each.
Viksit Bharat@2047 is the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by the 100th year of its independence in 2047. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. The youth of India are playing a key role in realizing this vision. They are the largest demographic group in India, and they are full of potential and energy. The government has launched a number of initiatives to engage the youth in the development process, including the Ideas from Youth for Viksit Bharat@2047 campaign. In this background, this competition aims to give a platform for youth from all sections of the society to share their ideas on how to make India a developed nation and realize the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The youth presented excellent ideas for a Viksit Bharat at the district level completion which was organised in all districts of Punjab in the month of January 2024 and judged by a panel of 3 judges.
The District Youth Officer, NYK Ludhiana said that the objective of this declamation contest is to strengthen the spirit of ambition, growth and Patriotism amongst youth for enhanced participation in nation building and to identify youth with leadership qualities and good communication skills for their further development and empowerment to take an active role in India’s developmental journey during Amrit Kaal.
The chief guest, Madan Lal Bagga, MLA, Ludhiana graced the occasion with his presence and congratulated all the participants and winners and also motivated the youth to come forward for all noble causes. The guest of honor Paramjit Singh, State Director, NYKS , Punjab & Chandigarh spoke about the importance of such platforms in overall development and spoke about My Bharat portal and National Youth parliament. Suman Lata, Principal, GCG college also encouraged the students to take part in such Competitions.
