NephroPlus to launch ‘Dialysis on Wheels’ in Pune
Through this program, patients will undergo dialysis inside an ambulance van
Hyderabad: NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis care network in India and a trailblazer in redefining dialysis care in the country, has launched the radically innovative ‘Dialysis on Wheels’ service in Pune today. The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Bomi Bhote , CEO , Ruby Hall Clinic, and Mr. Vikram Vuppala, Founder and CEO, NephroPlus. Delhi and Pune are the only cities in India where NephroPlus has launched this innovative service.
Through this program, patients will undergo dialysis inside an ambulance van which is designed by industry experts and comprises a fully operational dialysis setup that will be provisioned by a highly trained certified dialysis technician. To provide a holistic approach, NephroPlus has tied up with one of the most renowned and highly reputed healthcare providers, Ruby Hall Clinic, in Pune. This program will immensely benefit the patients of Ruby Hall Clinic as well as broader patient population in Pune.
Since the onset of COVID19, NephroPlus has noticed that patients have started increasingly opting for Home Hemodialysis. Even Nephrologists have started recommending this to their patients as it provides better Quality of Life and better infection protection. Due to their compromised immune systems, Dialysis patients are highly vulnerable to infections including COVID-19. To reduce their exposure to risky tertiary care environments and provide a better Quality of Life, NephroPlus decided to launch this program in a phase-wise manner across the country.
This program will become fully functional in all pockets of Pune in the next few days. Patients who wish to avail of the service at their doorstep can call the NephroPlus customer care number or visit the website.
Speaking on the partnership with NephroPlus, Mr. Bomi Bhote, CEO, Ruby Hall Clinic said, “We are very happy to partner with NephroPlus in this innovative Covid pandemic relevant initiative. We believe this will give Dialysis Patients of Pune an excellent option by which their dialysis sessions will not be compromised due to Covid as they can get dialysis right at their doorstep. This program further strengthens our long term partnership on dialysis front”
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Vikram Vuppala, CEO and Founder of NephroPlus, said, “We have always kept exceptional Clinical safety and superior Service level as a priority. We are extremely happy to introduce this service in Pune in collaboration with our long term partner Ruby Hall Clinic, as it allows us to expand our offerings to more patients across the country. We intend to continue scaling this up to 10 cities in the country ove rthe next several weeks.”
Further, Kamal D Shah, Co-Founder, and Director, Patient Services of NephroPlus added. “The Dialysis on Wheels concept was designed for Dialysis Patients to offer flexible treatment timings, reduce the risk of cross infections and eliminate the need of having an attendant to go to a center for dialysis every time.” Kamal has been on dialysis for 23 years now and is a big ambassador of the Home Hemodialysis service.
