Lovely Professional University (LPU) has successfully concluded a ten-day 'Innovation and Start-Up Camp' in collaboration with the Netherlands’ esteemed international organization, PUM. The camp, held at LPU's campus, aimed to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among LPU's budding entrepreneurs. It was also to provide them with invaluable experiences to foster the development of their incredible ideas.

Jalandhar, January 25, 2024: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has successfully concluded a ten-day 'Innovation and Start-Up Camp' in collaboration with the Netherlands’ esteemed international organization, PUM. The camp, held at LPU's campus, aimed to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among LPU's budding entrepreneurs. It was also to provide them with invaluable experiences to foster the development of their incredible ideas.

 
The camp witnessed the participation of Mick Walvisch, an experienced resource person from PUM, an international organization known for empowering ambitious entrepreneurs globally. PUM's experts engaged in short-term consultancy projects to transform them into growth engines for the local economy. This unique approach generates employment opportunities and promotes sustainable economic development. The camp's overarching goals align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on creating a structurally better future for the community in social, ecological, and economic aspects, ultimately leading to vibrant businesses and improved lives.
 

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, LPU's Founder Chancellor and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), extended his heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in organizing the camp. The celebration echoed the ideology and aspirations of the nation, emphasizing the importance of global growth.
 

India has experienced remarkable growth in its startup landscape, with the number of startups surpassing one lakh from a mere 300+ in a short period. LPU students have been at the forefront of this entrepreneurial wave, initiating successful ventures both on campus and across the country. Notable projects include the space project "Digantra" and "Project X." To further fuel the entrepreneurial spirit among students, LPU actively engages them in various initiatives such as the Seed Fund Scheme, Fund of Funds Scheme, Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups, mentorship platforms, Startup Awards, and Ranking Framework. These initiatives serve as key pillars in fostering enthusiasm and paving the way for the development of remarkable ventures in the near future.

 
Mick Walvisch was highly impressed by the indelible mark left by LPU students' enthusiasm, which serves as a clear signal of the imminent development of amazing ventures.
