New Team at Devbhoomi Printers and Publishers Association

This dynamic association of printers from Dehradun, Uttarakhand was established about 10 years back with Adesh Gupta as the founder president, followed by Anil Mittal and Amit Garg. The association touched new horizons under the leadership of its fourth President Ranu Bist Oberai, who is once again unanimously elected as the President for another term of 2 years during the general body meeting held on 12th August 2023. 

Speaking to the press sometimes back Ranu said, when she established Samaya Sakshaya it took time for people to swallow the fact that a woman can conduct the printing job. Over the years her hard work has paid, and she was recognised at many platforms as the only woman printer & publisher of Uttarakhand State. Mrs. Ranu is the only elected president so far and won with margin of more than 12 votes with her nearest rival. She has the spirit to resolve the challenges of the printers of Uttarakhand. Being the leader of the association, she said that all the members of the association believed that print businesspersons need to make collective efforts to deal with the challenges of this sector along with the individual struggle.

Sanjay Verma from Alpine Industry who is elected as the Secretary, once again, presented the report of activities of the association for the last two years and Mr. Ajeet Singh from S S Print and Traders, who is elected as the Treasure for the next term also, presented the accounts for the period. Everyone presents during the meeting appreciated the performance of the association under the team lead by Ranu. The past presidents were felicitated along with the Paper Traders who have supported the Vibrant Pint 2022 event.

The AGM was conducted under the guidance of Amit Garg from Om Color Creations. He also performed the duties of MOC during this meeting. Biannual election was conducted by Abhishek Rajvanshi from Allied Printers and Vivek Jain of Kumar Papers & Board (Paper) who were nominated as the election officers by the general body. The team for next term of two years includes, Ranu Bisht Oberoi, President; Anil Bhatt Vice President; Sanjay Verma, Secretary and Ajeet Singh, Treasurer. The names of the elected executive members are: Chandra Prakash of Vani Printers; Mayank Garg of Anil Enterprises; Yogesh Kapoor of MS Printers & Computers; Amit Garg of Om Color Creations, Hardeep Singh Bawa of Jeet Printers; Chetan Suri of 4 Colour Print Solutions; Rameshwar Bahuguna of Himalayan Enterprises and Harbhajan Singh of Lion Printing Press. The new executive is all set to work hand in hand with the changing time and technology, updating their members with the innovation and research being done in printing. It also aims to work for the upliftment and betterment of the unorganised labour sector of the printing industry.
