Chandigarh, December 31, 2014: In a major relief to the state awardees teachers’ the Education Department today waved off the pre condition of three years which prohibited them for applying for the national award.
Disclosing this here today in a press communiqué education minister Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema said that now the state award winner teachers are free to apply for the national award at any time. He said that earlier such teachers were debarred for putting their nomination for the national award for three years after they receive the state award.
Dr Cheema said that it would undoubtedly be matter of pride for the Punjab education department if any teacher gets national award as well as state award at the same time. Dr Cheema also extended warms greeting to all the teachers fraternity on the eve of New Year and wish them all success and happiness in the coming year 2015.
