Newly constructed Prakash Auditorium inaugurated in new building block at KMV
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), one of the leading educational institutions in North India, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Prakash Auditorium, dedicated to the loving memory of late Prakash Sharma. The grand inauguration was presided over by the esteemed chief guest, Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal.
Jalandhar, September 4, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), one of the leading educational institutions in North India, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Prakash Auditorium, dedicated to the loving memory of late Prakash Sharma. The grand inauguration was presided over by the esteemed chief guest, Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal.
The state-of-the-art Prakash Auditorium is housed in the modern block of KMV established to provide most progressive education to the students which has 31 classrooms and modern labs namely Animation Lab-3D & 2D, Retail-IT lab, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science lab with most sophisticated & advanced equipments.
The auditorium stands as a beacon of cultural enrichment and education. Esteemed members of the KMV Managing Committee, including Dr. Sushma Chawla (Vice President), Mrs. Neerja Chander Mohan, Mr. Dhruv Mittal, Prof. Suresh Seth, Sushila Bhagat, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Dr. Satpal Gupta, Dr. Deepali Luthra, Shiv Mittal graced the occasion.
Major General G.G. Dwivedi, Anuja Sharma, Preeti Mehta, Principal (Retd.) Karamjit Chaudhary, Dr Pardeep Bhandari, Principal, Doaba College, Dr Rashmi Vij, Principal, DAV School, Dr Jasbir Minhas, Former Vice Chancellor, DAV University, Dr Preeti Mehta, Colonel Suresh Sharma, Dr Arun Angrish, Prof. Nisha Angrish, Colonel Satish Sharma, Indira Bhargav, Dr Pankaj Pandit, Shobha Pandit, Dr Rajiv Angrish, Umang Angrish, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Sweety Bahal, Anupama Bawa, Dr Sanjay Sharma, CA Y.K. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp. Dedicated to education and societal upliftment, Prakash Sharma, who was committed to shaping the future of India’s youth with her strong, capable, and inspiring personality, was honored through the Prakash Auditorium.
It is pertinent to mention that the students of Prakash Sharma who are making significant contributions in various fields of society and remained lifelong admirers of their beloved teacher were also the guests for the event.
Chandra Mohan remembered Prakash Sharma as a warm, affectionate, and ideal teacher, stating that her personality remained a source of inspiration for all her students, symbolising high and noble values. He added that Prakash Auditorium is a symbol of a bright & jubilant future inspired by the memories of a golden past.
Welcoming all the distinguished guests, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi shared her memories of her revered mother. She exemplified her love and respect for knowledge, art, literature, and life values through her behaviour and conduct. It is pertinent to mention that the inauguration of the Prakash Auditorium marks yet another chapter in KMV’s long journey of excellence.
Alumni body of KMV thanked Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi who has contributed substantially for the setting up of this hi-tech auditorium in the memory of her revered mother, an alumna of KMV.
During the event, various cultural performances were also presented by the music department.
Dr. Madhumeet, Head, English Department, expressed gratitude to the chief guest and all the distinguished attendees for their presence.
