Newly elected Mayor, Sr Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor along with MC Chief reviews ongoing development works; appeal officials to work with transparency and efficiency

Ludhiana, January 21, 2025: Wasting no time after being elected as the first woman Mayor of Ludhiana on Monday, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur along with Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal conducted a meeting at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar to review the ongoing development works on Tuesday. 

Accompanied by Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur reached the civic body office on the very next day of the oath taking ceremony and stated that development of the city in every aspect is her priority and goal is to make Ludhiana - number 1 city. 

Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar appealed to the civic body officials to work with more efficiency and transparency to serve the public at large. Further they appealed to the officials to streamline the works as much as possible and ensure that the public does not face any problems in getting their works done in civic body offices.
 
Senior officials including Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindroo, Joint Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Neeraj Jain, Assistant Commissioner Gurpal Singh, Chief Engineer Ravinder Garg, Superintending Engineer (SE) Ranjit Singh, SE Parveen Singla, SE Surinder Singh, SE Sham Lal Gupta, MTP Vijay Kumar, CSO Ashwani Sahota among other officials were present during the meeting.   

During the meeting, a presentation was also shown to the Mayor regarding the ongoing works.

Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur said that the goal is to make Ludhiana - number 1 city. She appealed to the public that they should also support the civic body in achieving this goal. The residents should support the civic body by keeping their surroundings clean.

Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur said that they will also take feedback from the residents on a regular basis. Councillors, civic body officials and residents will work together and comprehensive efforts would be made for overall development of the city.

Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar stated that the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to make 'Rangla Punjab' and they will leave no stone unturned to ensure overall development of the city.
