News writing, photography & caption writing competition held on national press day

Jalandhar, November 16, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organized News Writing, Photography & Caption Writing competition to commemorate the National Press Day. The event was organized by the PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. More than 50 students participated in the event to showcase their creativity. Students wrote detailed news story on various beats & also clicked creative photographs on various social issues. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the National Press Day is celebrated all over India as symbolic of free and responsible press in India. She further maintained that the Press is the fourth pillar of our democracy & it plays a very vital role in safeguarding the rights of the citizens. She also congratulated the students for their participation and efforts.
