NGO Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organizes it's 126th 'Community Kitchen'
"It is necessary to make people aware about the need to 'avoid wastage of food'," said Amitabh Rungta, founder of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation. Rungta , a social worker added, "I feel that wasting food is a big sin and people should never leave food on their plates and that they should even consume the very last morsel. One should take servings that are needed and not go beyond what one cannot consume."

Rungta was speaking on the sidelines of the 126th 'Ann Bhandara', or Community Kitchen, held by the NGO at Industrial Area,Phase 1, Panchkula.
Rungta said that donating food to the needy is a 'mahadaan' as per in Hindu teachings. He said that people should propagate the culture of organising community kitchens.
The NGO's volunteers Anupama Rungta, Chaitanya Rungta, Pragati, Sukhpal Singh, Suresh Jangra helped in the organization of the 'bhandara'.
