Nine PCTE students of journalism and mass communication bag top ten PTU examination positions
Surekha Mahajan of batch 2017 bagged 1st Position with 8.76 SGPA
Ludhiana: The students of PCTE Group of Institutes pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication course performed tremendously well and Nine students bagged in the top Ten of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Examination.
Surekha Mahajan of batch 2017 bagged 1st Position with 8.76 SGPA, Kalpna bagged the 2nd Position with 8.24 SGPA, Manoj bagged 3rd Position with 7.81 SGPA and Anupreet Sapra bagged 4th Position with 7.76 SGPA, Manav Bansal bagged the 6th Position with 7.57 SGPA, Simran Kaur bagged the 8th position with 7.29 SGPA, Inayat Sidhu bagged the 9th position with 7.19 SGPA, Garima and Shivam Sharma bagged the 10th Position with 7.1 SGPA.
Surekha Mahajan, who bagged the first position said “Journalism is more about practical knowledge and in the previous semester, I have gained much practical knowledge by doing different assignments and tasks given by my teachers... When you have proper knowledge about your subjects then you can solve any question.”
Kalpna said “I want to thank my parents for always believing in me and providing me every necessary thing for the process of my education. I’ve believed in myself as I worked really hard and spent hours studying each subject minutely. At last the institution and teachers, for their continuous help and support.”
Manoj, who bagged the third position said, “I feel very joyful on getting the 3rd position in the university and I like to thank our faculty members who helped me in every situation. The main motivation that I got is from my parents, they encouraged me and inspired me to do well in my studies.”
Ms. Manpreet Mann, Head Coordinator, Faculty of Journalism & Mass Communication said “It is a proud moment for the department as we have bagged a number of positions. Students are hardworking and their dedication will surely help us to achieve more in the further exams.”
Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the students and said that “The students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
