Nineteen Research Scientists of MDU, Rohtak features in global top two percent scientists list

Rohtak, September 19, 2024: Nineteen researchers (faculty members and research scholars) of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (MDU) have got featured in the prestigious list of top 2% international scientists released by Stanford University (USA) and Elsevier BV. This global list is a prestigious list curated from the world wide scientists database of top one lac scientists.

Three faculty members associated with MDU have been included in the datasets related to Career Research for their outstanding research contributionin their career so far. They include- Prof. B. Narsimhan (Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences), Dr. Sarvajeet Singh Gill (Centre for Biotechnology) and superannuated Professor Dr. C. S. Pundir (Biochemistry).

The faculty members  of MDU who feature in the list for outstanding research contribution in single year (2023) include Prof. B. Narsimhan(Pharmaceutical Sciences), Dr Sarvajeet Singh Gill (CBT), Retired Prof. C. S. Pundir (Biochemistry), Dr. Narsingh Chauhan (Biochemistry), Dr. K. K. Sharma (Microbiology), Retired Prof. J. P. Yadav (Genetics), Dr. Ramphul Ohlyan (IMSAR), Prof. Sanju Nanda (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Prof. Harish Dureja (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Prof. Devender Singh (Chemistry), Retired Professor Dr. Vinod Bala Taxak (Dept. of Chemistry), ,Dr. Naveen Kumar(Dept. of Chemistry) and Dr. Deepak Chabra(Dept. Of Mechanical Engineering, UIET). 

The six research scholars  of Dept. of Chemistry featuring in this list are Dr. Isha Gupta,  Dr. Sitender Singh, Dr. Kapeesha Nehra, Dr. Pawan Kumar,Dr. Anuj Dalal and Dr.Anjli Hooda.

Notably, this 2% international scientists updated list is based on the top 1,00,000 scientists of the world selected on the basis of standardized information related to citation, h- index, and other related parameters.

MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh congratulated these eminent researchers who have brought glory to the university. He said that MDU would initiate measures to further boost the research eco- system of the university. MDU VC said that entire University community is proud of the sterling research achievements of these achiever research scientists.
