No beneficiary should be deprived of ration in absence of Aadhar Card: Uttar Pradesh CM

Theft of food grains should be plugged and complete ration to be provided to beneficiaries
A drive should be undertaken to cancel duplicate and illegal ration cards
Chief Minister reviews working go the Food and Civil Supplies Department
Lucknow, May 18, 2017: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while chairing an important meeting of the Food & Civil Supplies department said that officers should ensure that the children and beneficiaries of the public distribution system, whose Aadhar Cards have not been made so far, are not deprived of their quota of ration.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also expressed his displeasure at the fact that so far only four lakh duplicate ration cards and non-deserving ration card have been cancelled and asked officers to expedite the drive across the state and to ensure that problems of people in getting a ration card made are expeditiously taken care of and their ration cards made.
Yogi ji also expressed the desire of the state government to ensure reach of full food grains to the beneficiaries by plugging the thefts and leakages. He also asked officers to use Aadhar Cards for this purpose.
At the meeting held at Shastri Bhawan, also present were State's Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. Atul Garg, Joint Secretary (GoI) Mr. Deepak Kumar, Central Food Director Mr. DK Gupta, CEO of the GoI's Common Service Centre Mr. Dinesh Kumar and NIC (GoI) Mr.Mutthu Kumar and other senior officers.
