Chandigarh, March 5, 2013: Punjab Government today issued orders not to grant leave to all officers (group A and B) during ensuing budget session of 14th Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
An official spokesman said that to ensure smooth working of budget session, the Punjab Government has issued written instructions to all department heads, Commissioners of Divisions, Deputy Commissioners not to grant leave to officers during budget session.
The official spokesman said it has come to the notice that the functioning of Vidhan Sabha gets affected due to leave of officers . It has been decided not to grant leave to the officers during the budget session. He said that the head of department can however allow leave to officer in case of emergency by appointing substitute of the officer on leave.
