Noble Foundation organises annual `Swabhiman Awards’ function
Noble Foundation today held its annual award function namely Swabhiman Awards here at Guru Nanak Bhawan in the memory of Shaheed Lala Jagat Narayan.
Ludhiana, September 23, 2023: Noble Foundation today held its annual award function namely Swabhiman Awards here at Guru Nanak Bhawan in the memory of Shaheed Lala Jagat Narayan.
Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit participated in the event as a Chief Guest while other dignitaries including Padam Shree Vijay Kumar Chopra, Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Noble Foundation founder Rajinder Sharma also attended the award function. Founder of the organisation welcomed the guests on their arrival at the event and said that foundation was providing education to over 5000 poor and needy children.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Banwari Lal Purohit Purohit said that we should appreciate the efforts of those working hard for humanitarian cause in the society. He felicitated children who have earned name in different spheres of life comprising Sanvi Sood, who is a world record holder mountaineer from Ropar District. Likewise Master Geetansh Goyal was also honoured for making world record for chanting Hanumaan Chalisa.
Besides children, eminent personalities were also felicitated with Swabhiman award for their stellar role in social service including Keran Berg from Germany, Indira Suresh Soni, RJ Aarti Malhotra, Advocate Hashmi, Dr. Kundrakapam Akoisana Singh, Dr. Tilak Tanwar, Dr. Jatinder Aggarwal, Dr. Vipan Kumar, and National Awardee Amritpal Singh “Pali Khadim”.
Calling Shaheed Lala Jagat Narayan a prominent social worker, the Governor said that he had also left indelible imprint in the field of journalism. He called upon youth to adopt honesty as a driving principle in their lives saying that India got independence in 1947 but Japan has witnessed far more development than us because there was no room for corruption and exemplary punishment is ensured in case of corrupt practices. Emphasizing significance of simple lifestyle, he said that we should also take care of our health, which includes eating less, walking more, laughing freely and loving family to the fullest.
Finally, he praised the noble work of the Nobel Foundation and said that searching deserving awardees from Germany and India is the result of hard work.
