Lohri being celebrated Punjab's traditional style & with a mix of modernity at North Country Mall.
Mohali, January 15, 2015: A colourful Lohri celebration greeted visitors when they came to tricity’s biggest shopping & entertainment destination—The North Country Mall, Mohali. A Bhangra & Giddha Troupe regaled the audience with their foot tapping performances, the high energy dance presentations ignited even the visitors to break into instant jigs. The culturally rich dances set the tone for a grand Lohri celebration at the Mall.
Lohri traditions were brought alive by lighting of a bon fire & savouring of Lohri delicacies- Revaris, Gajak and Moongfali (Peanuts) which were organized for patrons by the Mall management.
“We had put up a very appealing ‘Lohri Theme’ Decor at the venue with Nachda Punjab figurines. Sky Lanterns were also released into the air by visitors and this really presented a pretty picture. The evening sky lit up as the lanterns cut through the chilly January air.” Said Naresh Gautam, VP, The North Country Mall.
A professional anchor was seen engaging viewers and visitors at the Mall in different games related to Lohri. Six Amazing prizes for the winners including holiday vouchers for were given out.
