Ludhiana, February 9, 2013: Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU) conducted a seminar to encourage women employees for their participation in state level protest rally against anti-employee policies of the central and state government, which would take place on February 12.
More than 250 women employees from different cities and departments Feroezpur railway division gathered to ensure their participation for the rally. All India General Secretary of the Union, Shiv Gopal Mishra addressed the meeting and said women participation in the division level protest rally would make a difference infront of the higher authorities.
The members of the Union have decided to hold protest against the Centre for the non-fulfillment of their pending demands.
They aired their voice against low pay scale of railway employees and demanded that the Railways instead of cutting 5% salary should enhance pay scale of the employees.
