NSS Panjab University, in collaboration with Boys Hostel 2, organised grand tree plantation drive 

Chandigarh, May 21, 2023: NSS Panjab University, in collaboration with Boys Hostel 2, organised a grand tree plantation drive on Sunday. The event aimed to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of tree conservation. The tree plantation drive was graced by Satya Pal Jain as Chief Guest, and Davesh Moudgil as Guest of Honour. The guests shared their insights on the significance of preserving and nurturing our natural surroundings for a greener and healthier future. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and residents of Boys Hostel 2. Together, they planted a diverse range of saplings, including indigenous species and fruit-bearing trees, across the premises of Boys Hostel 2. The drive aimed to create a sustainable ecosystem and enhance the aesthetic appeal of Panjab University.

Speaking at the event, Satya Pal Jain emphasized the importance of tree plantation in mitigating climate change and maintaining ecological balance. He applauded the efforts of NSS Panjab University and Boys Hostel 2 in organizing such an initiative and encouraged everyone present to actively participate in environmental conservation activities.

Davesh Moudgil, in his address, commended the collaborative efforts of NSS Panjab University and Boys Hostel 2 in creating awareness among students about environmental stewardship. He emphasized the need for community-driven initiatives to combat climate change and build a greener future.
