NSS Seven Day Special Camp in process at Lyallpur Khalsa College
Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh informed that this seven day camp has themes of Swacchhta, Awareness in society and Personality Development.
Jalandhar, December 28, 2021: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for holistic development of its students. Keeping this in view, NSS unit LKC has planned a Seven Day Special Camp. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra in inaugural session appreciated the volunteers for their constructive thought process towards society. He emphasised that water, air and earth should be kept clean and this message should be spread in society. NSS volunteers have this obligation to make society aware about importance of cleanliness. Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh informed that this seven day camp has themes of Swacchhta, Awareness in society and Personality Development. He added that NSS song motivates volunteers to first clean self and then society. So, after inauguration and shabad gayan, a yoga session was organized which was followed by campus cleaning. Next day, cleanliness drive continued at Lyallpur Khalsa College Halt. Jalandhar Welfare Society Secretary and incharge of maintenance of Halt, Mr. Surinder Saini, appreciated wholehearted efforts of volunteers. The passengers and civilians also praised the campaign and some joined the drive. Third day, during a personality development seminar, ADC UD IAS Himanshu Jain and Principal Dr. Samra not only shared their life experiences but also gave valueable inputs to be a good and informative citizens. Later, a declamation contest on Indian Constitution, Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose and a poster making contest on Road Safety and Women Empowerment were held. Then SVEEP District Nodal Officer Mr. Surjit Lal in his speech motivated the gathering to caste their votes and oath for the same was also taken. This camp is managed by Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh, Program Officer Dr. Amandeep Kaur and Program Officer Dr. Navneet Arora.
