NSS unit Lyallpur Khalsa College concludes Seven Day Special Camp
NSS Special camp on the theme of "Cleanliness and Self Development" concluded in grandeur at College campus.
Jalandhar, December 30, 2023: NSS Special camp on the theme of "Cleanliness and Self Development" concluded in grandeur at College campus.
The program was presided by worthy Principal Dr.Jaspal Singh. Surinder Saini, a renowned social worker was the Guest of Honour. The valedictory cultural program was devoted to "National Integrity- Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat".
Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his opening remarks lauded the work of NSS volunteers during the Special camp. He advised students to carry forward the values learned and be an ambassador of social welfare. Guest of Honor Mr. Saini delivered a meaningful lecture on 'Human Values and Ethics'.
Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh read the camp report and described national and state level a achievements of NSS Unit LKC during the month of December. He informed that the during the Special Camp, which was organized at college campus and the village Johlan Bolina Doaba, activities such as cleanliness at college campus, LKC Halt and public places at Johlan, awareness programs on water preservation, gender equality, blood donation and Nukkad Natak , Shramdaan in the form of interlocking of tiles around Water Treatment plant, white washing of Bus stand of Bolina Doaba and Dry and Wet Waste Compost Pit at College were performed.
In the cultural Program poems on 'Martyrdom of Chote Sahibjade', 'Female Foeticide' and dances of other states like Nati and Haryanvi dance along with Bhangra and Gidha were presented. Nukkad Natak on the theme of "Swacchhta" was also played. Stage was conducted by volunteers Arshpreet Kaur and Kritika. The volunteers thanked Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Youth Services, Chandigarh, College Governing Council, Principal and Program Offficers to provide such an opportunity to express and explore their inner abilities.
On this occasion, NSS program officers of the college Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Haminder Singh, Prof. Sarabjit Singh were also present.
