NSS Unit Lyallpur Khalsa College concludes Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign
NSS unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar concluded the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign under the directions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports by organizing a skit & Elocution competition on the topic Swachhta Hi Sewa.
Jalandhar, October 24, 2024: NSS unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar concluded the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign under the directions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports by organizing a skit & Elocution competition on the topic Swachhta Hi Sewa.
S.I. Raghbir Singh was the chief guest. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his opening remarks welcomed the guests and stated that Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is creating a positive impact in society and youth by organizing events related to social issues. He emphasized that cleanliness should start from self and it should not be confined to the environment only. Cleanliness of thoughts is also very crucial to address other issues like safety of women.
Chief Guest Raghbir Singh opined that it is heartening to hear the positive thoughts of young students and urged them to be ambassadors to spread the message of cleanliness.
Another speaker, Raj Kumar Saqi congratulated the students and NSS unit for organizing such fruitful events.
Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that Krishma and Apurva Dhir won first and second positions in Elocution while Balpreet Kaur and Prabhjot Kaur were third. In skit B.Com Semester I girls got position and NSS volunteer team got second position. The winners were given medals, certificates and cash prizes as well.
Dr. Geetanjali Mahajan and Dr. Surbjit Singh did the judgment. NSS Volunteer Sonu Sunar who won National Social Icon Award 2024 at Haryana was also felicitated in the event.
During this event, Head Constable Jyoti Sharma, NSS PO Dr. Amandeep Kaur, volunteers Vikramjeet Singh, Shubhkarman Singh, Gurkirat Singh, Karmveer Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Harsh Verma, Kritika Sharma & Gudiya Verma played their roles actively.
