NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College organized anti stubble burning awareness rally
Under the guidelines of the government of Punjab and in collaboration with Punjab Pollution Control Board, NSS Units of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized Anti Stubble Burning Awareness Rally on GT Road to make people aware about harmful effects of stubble burning.
Jalandhar, October 19, 2022: Under the guidelines of the government of Punjab and in collaboration with Punjab Pollution Control Board, NSS Units of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized Anti Stubble Burning Awareness Rally on GT Road to make people aware about harmful effects of stubble burning.
The Rally was flagged off by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra. In his message, he said that these types of campaigns are really needed to protect our environment. Burning of stubble is harmful for all living beings. He emphasized that the message of disposing of stubble in an environmentally friendly way should be taken to villages.
Prof. Stapal Singh, Chief Program Officer informed that volunteers rallied on GT Road by raising slogans of not burning stubble and saving the environment. He added that volunteers will be given pamphlets and will spread the message of not burning the stubble in the villages and their surrounding areas. During this event Prof. Amandeep Kaur and Prof. Navneet Arora were present.
