NSS Volunteers organise rally to promote nutrition awareness during poshan maah
As part of the ongoing 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrations, NSS volunteers from Government Home Science College organized an impactful rally aimed at raising awareness about the importance of nutrition. The rally, which saw enthusiastic participation from more than 40 volunteers, highlighted key messages around healthy eating, balanced diets, and the role of nutrition in overall well-being.
Chandigarh, September 25, 2024: As part of the ongoing 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrations, NSS volunteers from Government Home Science College organized an impactful rally aimed at raising awareness about the importance of nutrition. The rally, which saw enthusiastic participation from more than 40 volunteers, highlighted key messages around healthy eating, balanced diets, and the role of nutrition in overall well-being.
The volunteers marched through key areas surrounding the college, engaging the public and distributing informative pamphlets on various aspects of nutrition. The rally focused on promoting the importance of locally available, nutritious foods such as millets, seasonal fruits, and vegetables, as well as the benefits of proper hydration and reducing food wastage.
Volunteers also spread awareness about the importance of early childhood nutrition and the need to adopt healthy eating habits at all stages of life. The rally was well-received by the community, with onlookers appreciating the students' initiative in promoting such a critical cause.
Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of Government Home Science College, commended the efforts of the NSS volunteers for their proactive approach in spreading awareness about nutrition.
