NTPC MSME cell organized online special vendor development programme for MSEs owned by women and SC/ST entrepreneurs

Chandigarh: An online Special Vendor Development Programme (SVDP) for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) was jointly organized by NTPC MSME Cell- CC&M and National SC-ST Hub (NSSH), NSIC, Okhla in New Delhi.
Shri. K.K. Sharma, GM (NSSH) was the chief guest at the event. Also the eminent speakers & panellists from NTPC were Shri Awadhesh Kumar ED (OS), Shri S.M. Gokhale CGM (CC&M) and Ms. Shoba Pattabhiraman GM(C&M).
The contribution of MSEs to the nation and especially to the growth of NTPC was acknowledged and NTPC’s expectations from the MSEs, as a buyer, were articulated.
The event had an overwhelming participation and witnessed at least 146 SC/ST and Women MSEs from across the country.
NTPC showcased its compliance to the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs and other initiatives/enablers like Single Window Pan NTPC Enlistment portal, Vendor payment portal, Shared Services Centres, for ease of doing business for the vendors.
The business opportunity in NTPC, in the areas of Renewable Energy (RE), Ash Utilisation and Coal Mining was highlighted. In alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat policy of the Government of India (GOI), a presentation on the Spare Part Development policy of NTPC was also presented during the event.
An NSSH official explained to the participating vendors about the various enablers of the GOI to support the SC/ST MSE ecosystem.
The vendor onboarding session on GeM was well received by the participants. An interactive open house session was conducted where vendor queries were addressed. Both the Chief Guest and the participating vendors lauded the efforts of NTPC, for strengthening the MSE Ecosystem.
