NYK organizes State level Yuva Utsav
Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) organized a two-day state-level Yuva Utsav in Kamla Lohtia SD College Ludhiana on March 6. The initiative aims to engage the youth in various events related to India's Freedom Struggle and rekindle the spirit of patriotism and values. The State Level Yuva Utsav has been planned in a way that celebrates Yuva Shakti during the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence, marking the journey towards the vision of India@2047. Young artists, writers, photographers, orators, practitioners of traditional art forms, and young people from all over India will lead this movement from the district level to the national level, bringing the rich heritage, culture, and values of our nation to the central stage of public discourse.
Ludhiana, March 6, 2024: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) organized a two-day state-level Yuva Utsav in Kamla Lohtia SD College Ludhiana on March 6. The initiative aims to engage the youth in various events related to India's Freedom Struggle and rekindle the spirit of patriotism and values. The State Level Yuva Utsav has been planned in a way that celebrates Yuva Shakti during the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence, marking the journey towards the vision of India@2047. Young artists, writers, photographers, orators, practitioners of traditional art forms, and young people from all over India will lead this movement from the district level to the national level, bringing the rich heritage, culture, and values of our nation to the central stage of public discourse.
District Level Yuva Utsavs have been held across all the districts of Punjab, and around 400 participants, the winners from these districts, participated in the State Level Yuva Utsav in various contests such as Young Writers- Poetry Contest, Mobile Photography Contest, and Young Artists -Painting Contest, Declamation contest, and Cultural Contest. The winners of the State level shall proceed to participate at the National Level Yuva Utsav.
The first winner of the Declamation Contest was Preetkiran Kaur from Jalandhar, followed by Pia from Gurdaspur in second place, and Anupreet Kaur from Patiala in third place. They won Rs 15000/-, 7500/-, and 5000/-, respectively. In Poetry, Baljeet Singh from Moga, Harpreet Kaur from Bathinda, and Satnam Singh from Patiala won 15000/-, 7500/-, and 5000/-, respectively. In the Painting contest, Jasveer Singh from Bathinda, Taranpreet Kaur from Chandigarh, and Gursahib Singh from SMS won Rs 15000/-, 7500/-, and 5000/-, respectively. In the photography contest, Geetanjali Kashyap from Chandigarh, Jaspreet Singh from Bathinda, and Simran from Chandigarh won Rs 15000/-, 7500/-, and 5000 respectively. In the cultural event, the team from Amritsar won the first prize and prize money of 40000/-, the Ropar team won the second prize and cash prize of 25000/-, and the third prize was won by the team of Sri Muktsar Sahib with a cash prize of 15000/-.
State Director, NYKS Punjab & Chd, Paramjit Singh, guided the successful event. Principal of Kamla Lohtia College, MS Faruqqui, and ACP Charanjiv Lamba also graced the event with their presence. Different stalls from DBEE, SVEEP, Soil and water conservation dept., RSETI, PNB, Traffic Police Ludhiana, and more were set up to sensitize participants about the various schemes of the Government.
