Chandigarh, September 7, 2012: The Punjab Government today asked all its Officers/Employees posted at Punjab Civil Secretariat to deposit their PAN card copies with the account branches.
A Spokesperson of the Punjab Government today said that all officers and employees should deposit their PAN card copies in person as soon as possible, so that the income tax could be deducted from their salaries regularly. He said that in the case of IAS and IPS officers it was the duty of their personal staff to deposit the copies of PAN card.
He further said that instructions has been issued to all Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Additional Secretaries , Joint Secretaries, Under Secretaries , OSDs, Deputy Secretaries, Senior Special Secretaries, Secretaries, Superintendent Grade-1, Private Secretaries and PA s to follow the instructions in this regard.
