Jalandhar, October 19, 2013: Olympian Wrestler Kartar singh has won laurel for the country as he won prestigious crown of World Veteran Wrestling Championship for the record 17th time. The chanm was held at Sarajevo (Bosnia).
After winning the crown when Kartar Singh reached his home town today massive crowd included young wrestler, sports fraternity turned up to extend warm welcome to the legendary wrestler. Kartar Singh defeated Cohenjean Simon of France in the final. In his early rounds Kartar Singh defeated against Brmak Peprus of South Africa and Dogan Ramadan of Turkey. Kartar Singh set a new record for wining World Veteran Wrestling Championship for 17th record time.
Visually ecstatic Kartar Singh, IG, Punjab Police said that hard work and dedication towards sports in his basic mantra for his success in the wrestling arena. He appealed the young stars to shed away the drug and devote their times towards sports beside studies.
