On day 7 of the SFA Championships in Pune, Speedcubing precision and combat agility take centerstage

Pune, November 27, 2023: The battle for "number one school in sports" in Pune got intense, as athletes showcased their talent in multi-sports, at SFA Championships. The day saw Speedcubing, Taekwondo and Kho-Kho competitions kick off, whereas basketball, swimming and football continued. The grounds had over 1200 athletes, competing at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex. 

With precision and mental agility on display, 108 enthusiasts competed fiercely in the Speedcubing competition. Taekwondo showcased combat skills across U-12, U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories, featuring 150 participants. Simultaneously, the Kho-Kho competition in the U-14 and U-18 categories, with 135 participants, added to the dynamic sports atmosphere.

Amidst the unfolding sports spectacle at SFA Championships, parents actively engage in their child's sporting journey. Among them, Suchita, the proud mother of Harsh Vardhan Maurya from Bliss International School, shares her perspective on SFA's role in fostering holistic development through multi-sport exposure. Suchita shares, “SFA not only enables my son, Harsh Vardhan, to explore diverse sports but also fosters a sense of joy and sportsmanship among kids. Witnessing their happiness when their teammates succeed is truly heartening. The school's emphasis on teamwork resonates well with us. As a keen follower of SFA on social media, I am excited about the inclusion of young girls in sports like hockey, badminton, and kabaddi. This encourages parents to enroll their children in SFA. While SFA grows each year, my observation is that they are focusing more on the management and execution aspects, which is a positive evolution.”
