On Superstar Singer 3, Laisel Rai’s performance revives Talat Aziz and Anup Jalota’s fond memories of their friend Pankaj Udhas

This weekend, get ready for a soul-stirring musical evening on Sony Entertainment Televisionas its homegrown format, Superstar Singer 3, brings viewers a special episode titled ‘Ghazal Night’. As a part of the episode, the talented young contestants will showcase their singing prowess as they pay tribute to the ghazal samrat, ‘Pankaj Udhas’. Making the episode even more memorable will be the ghazal ustads, Anup Jalota and Talat Aziz, who will not only enjoy the magical singing of these small dynamites but will also share anecdotes about their experiences of working with Pankaj Udhas.

As a part of the episode, the talented young contestants will showcase their singing prowess as they pay tribute to the ghazal samrat, ‘Pankaj Udhas’. Making the episode even more memorable will be the ghazal ustads, Anup Jalota and Talat Aziz, who will not only enjoy the magical singing of these small dynamites but will also share anecdotes about their experiences of working with Pankaj Udhas. 

 

But it was 14-year-old Laisel Rai, from Mohali, Punjab, and captain Pawandeep Rajan, who will win hearts with their rendition of the timeless ghazal “Ghungroo Toot Gaye” and “Chupke Sakhiyon Se”. Mesmerized by their singing, Anup Jalota complimented the duo, saying, “This cute little Laisel looks so much like Junior Neha Kakkar, and she has Neha’s andaaz in her singing; she performed so well with such clarity. Pawandeep and Laisel, you performed this ghazal so well. Keep it up."

 

Talat Aziz also added, “This performance made me nostalgic, as this was one of the songs that Anup Jalota Saab, Pankaj Saab, and I performed together. This brought back such beautiful memories of those times when the three of us used to perform together. Those days were so beautiful, and I will always cherish them all my life. Thank you so much.”


Further, host Haarsh Limbachiyaa played a video of Pankaj Saab, Anuj Jalota, and Talat Aziz performing together, which left the latter two emotional. They also thanked everyone for bringing alive these treasured memories through the young talents’ performances which made for such a beautiful tribute to their friend, Pankaj Udhas.
