One Cadet One Tree: CT University Hosts Tree Plantation Drive with NCC
Ludhiana, September 24, 2024: CT University along with NCC cadets from 3 Punjab Battalion (NCC) embarked tree plantation drive. The initiative conducted under the guidance of Col Rohit Khanna 'SM', Commanding Officer of 3 PB Bn, NCC, and the CT University administration marked a significant step towards fostering a greener future and engaging young minds in sustainable practices.
The tree plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets and instructor staff. Embracing the motto "One Cadet, One Tree," a total of 400 saplings were planted during the drive. This collaborative effort served not only to enhance the university's green cover but also to send a powerful message to the youth. Troops from the 152 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Sikh, led by their Commanding Officer Colonel Amit Baghi, participated in the tree plantation drive.
Col Rohit Khanna 'SM', Commanding Officer of 3 PB Bn, NCC, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative effort. "We are grateful to CT University for hosting this tree plantation drive. It provided a valuable platform for our NCC cadets to engage in environmental conservation and promote the importance of trees."
