Ludhiana, March 16, 2025: To reduce road mishaps and improve accident reporting and claim settlements, a one-day training session was conducted to ensure the implementation of the eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) software. 

This session was jointly organized by NIC (National Informatics Centre) along with Transport, health departments on the guidelines of the Transport Department. 

RTO Kuldeep Bawa, ACP Traffic Gurpreet Singh, NIC District Informatics Officer Neeraj Garg detailed the participants on the eDAR system. They were briefed on effective data entry method in the eDAR system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of accidents. The light was also thrown on handling hit-and-run cases, which would help accident victims receive faster financial compensation.

The Senior Officers further stated that the eDAR system would enable real-time accident data collection, leading to quicker response times. Victims and their families would receive financial assistance more effectively and speedily through streamlined claim processing by all departments.
