Online study hours increased in Kangra district
The demand was being raised by the parents
Dharamshala: Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati has issued fresh instructions for the online classes in Kangra district. According to new instructions online classes for students up to class V could be conducted for two hours a day only, while for students from class VI to VIII the online classes could now be conducted up to four hours . “in addition to this, instructions have been given to schools and college administrations to fix the duration of classes from class 9th onwards to college ,” said Prajapati.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that the demand was being raised by the parents for extending the duration of online classes, whereas administration previously fixed online classes for two hours for all students, but now the time has been extended for the students of class VI onwards.
Deputy Commissioner said that in view of the increasing cases of corona infection in Kangra district, the Corona curfew has been imposed till May 26 to restrict the movement of people in public places. He said that people have also been urged to ensure compliance of Covid Protocol, including social distancing, use of masks and washing of hands frequently.
He advised the public that in case of symptoms of corona, they should go to the hospital immediately and get the test done so that the infection of corona could be controlled at the initial stage itself. He said that guidelines have also been issued to the Panchayat representatives to ensure compliance of the Covid Protocol in their respective areas and a complete ban has also been imposed on social programs and functions
