Ludhiana-based Author Harpreet Sandhu initiated this innovative step by creating digital visuals signifying the true essence of World Book Day 2023, making it easy for the citizens as well as the students of the Institutions based in Ludhiana to witness the value of books on their digital platform i.e. mobile screens.
Noted Economist Padma Bhushan Dr. S.S Johl, former Chancellor Central University Punjab stating a famous quote that, “There in no friend as loyal as Book” stated that it should be our foremost duty to encourage younger generation to discover the pleasure of reading books to improve their wisdom, values and morals of good and humble life by becoming book readers, which presently has lost its sheen due to the internet and digitalization, rather we must keep in our mind that the knowledge being shared through the medium of internet is also the outcome of books.
Eminent Punjabi Poet Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar acknowledged this positive cause initiated by Harpreet Sandhu to highlight the importance of reading books on eve of World Book Day which is today lacking within our society.
Prof. Anurag another eminent scholar from Ludhiana also appreciated the concept of sharing digital visuals within citizens of Ludhiana by Harpreet Sandhu as according to him most of us are shifting towards digital platforms for our day to day needs which even include gaining knowledge reg any subject.
City based Author Harpreet Sandhu shared that on eve of World Book Day we all need to acknowledge the contribution of prominent Ludhiana based Authors who have made Ludhiana pride by their contributions in field of Literature, Poetry and Authoring books and with the online digital visuals portraying the true sense for reading books as everything is not available on internet.
