Ludhiana, March 30, 2013: Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) organised ‘OPA Carnival’ at the grounds of BBF Industries Limited with great fanfare on the occasion of Holi.

OPA has been organising this carnival just to elaborate the rich ancient Indian culture and moral values.

Speaking on the occasion Parveen Aggarwal, President, OPA said, these celebration are just like remembrance of our moral values, he quoted the speech given by Lord Macaulay on 2nd February 1835 in the British Parliament, I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture,… for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own,… …they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.” Based on these facts Lord Macaulay drafted the education system for India, which is still enforced, Parveen Aggarwal said.

Aggarwal further added that considering it as a moral duty, OPA is organising this Carnival from last many years with huge success to bust the stress in the busy schedules in one’s life today and to bring in front a resemblance to our great India heritage and culture and to show all modern countrymen that what we were in past and What we are now because we are forgetting or ignoring our own culture, our heritage and moral values. We are forgetting our age old traditions which were the backbone for our culture and the main source of satisfaction and happiness.
