OPDs IN ALL GOVERNMENT HEALTH INSTITUTION BEGINS IN KANGRA DISTRICT
NIFT freed from being quarantine centre
Dharamshala: The persons coming from other districts of the state to Kangra shall not been put under home quarantine . This was disclosed by Rakesh Prajapati, Deputy commissioner Kangra in Dharamshala. Prajapati said, “The district administration is also withdrawing its orders under which NIFT Kangra was kept to be used as quarantine centre. Hence forth NIFT Kangra shall not be used as institutional quarantine centre.”
DC also informed that with immediate effect OPDs in all government health institution shall be irrationalised with suitable precautions to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
In Kangra district, where the first two cases in the state surfaced on March 20, has become corona virus free on 30 th April. A total of five cases were reported from Kangra district. Four of them recovered whereas a 69-year-old man who had travelled from USA died of corona virus on March 23. And the administration is relaxing the facilities in a phased manner in the district.
DC said that as more than 30,000 people returned back to the district from other states, including the hot spots of the country, in past few days, the danger of virus spread is still high. He appealed the public to stay in home and keep social distancing and adopt other prescribe safety gears while coming out, to keep everyone safe.
