The collapse of seven storey building in Dhaighar of Mumbra in Thane District of Maharashtra, in which the death toll of innocent people has reached to 72, has turned into cemetery besides about 60 people serious injured.  The said building was completed just in two and a half month on forest and government land and work of putting slabs on the top six and seven storeys was going on. With the collapse of building, it has come on surface the quality of material used during the construction and how much money has been siphoned off by the buildings.  It is said, the local people have reported the poor construction of the building to the concerned authorities also but they did not pay any heed and ultimately the building collapsed.

No doubt, the police have registered a case against the builder under section 304 of IPC unintentional attempt to murder but what would be the fate of families who have lost their earning hands and because of such builders and contractors, there is possibility of poor constructions of various buildings in the district who provide the poor class building by taking the hard earned money with intention to gain maximum profits.  They use the poor quality material, cement besides not adhering to the required mixture of cement and sand and sub-standard quality of iron rods and poor people have to pay its price.   In this incident, hardly there is any family, whose bread earner has not died and there are about ten dozen people under treatment in the hospital.  The most unfortunate are those who had become handicapped due to severe injuries, for whole of the life.

Such a corrupt enemy of the humanity and builders playing with the lives of people do not deserve any sympathy and must be awarded rare of rarest punishment otherwise such incidents would continue to occur in future, killing the innocent people.
