Opposition misleading country on CAA: Shanta Kumar
Says, at present 2 crore infiltrators are in the country
Dharamsala: To make people aware of Citizenship Amendment Act-2019, a program was organized at Arla, Palampur near Dharamshala on Friday. The programme was presided over by Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar and organized by BJP. Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Vipin Singh Parmar also attended it.
Addressing the people former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar said that some parties of the country are trying to mislead the people of the country on the Citizenship Amendment Act. He said, “the incidents happening in some educational institutions of the country are unfortunate and the highest court of the country has also expressed concern over it.”
He said that the opposition is disturbing peace of the country to gain the to vote bank and power in the country, due to which a big challenge has arisen in front of the government. He said that the party has decided to make every citizen of the country aware of the Citizenship Amendment Act and workers have been directed to go door to door to make people aware of it. He said that the Central Government has started a good work of granting citizenship to the oppressed people in Mushlim countries.
He said , “At present, 2 crore infiltrators are in the country and the opposition is protecting them for the sake of vote bank and now wants to make them citizens as well. Pakistan had 34 percent population of Hindus and Sikhs, which is now only 3 percent. I am thankful to the people of Himacnhal, for not falling in the trap of opposition , which tried to mislead them on the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Earlier, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Vipin Singh Parmar said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is an important step taken by the Central Government in the interest of the country, thereby ensuring citizenship of the people. He said that some people are misleading the people of a community. He said that these leaders have no idea about this act. He said that the Citizenship Amendment Act has decided to grant citizenship to religiously oppressed people.
BJP leader Ms Indu Goswami also expressed his views in favor of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Earlier, a huge rally was organized in favor of the Citizenship Amendment Act-2019. The rally was led by Health and Family Welfare Minister, Vipin Singh Parmar. Hundreds of people including former MLA Dulo Ram, Former MLA Dulo Ram, former MLA Praveen Sharma, Indu Goswami, District President Haridutt Sharma, Vinay Sharma, General Minister Devendra Rana, Vijay Bhatt, President of Reconciliation Desh Raj Sharma, Palampur President Abhimanyu Bhatt, Baijnath President Bhikham Kapoor, General Secretary Sukhdev Masand and Vipan Janwal, Tanu Bharti, Chandraveer, Media Incharge Praveen Sharma, Ragini Rukwal Ashok Purohit, Deepak Nag and Kshetra Area dignitaries were present.
