Orchids The International School, Sonipat Campus’s Xth grade student, Sahil Rawat has bagged two Gold medals in the prestigious South Asian Table Tennis Academy Championship, organised by the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association. Sahil won duo Gold in U15 Teams and U15 Doubles categories and qualified for the World Table Tennis Championship 2024. He will be representing India at the Global forum, which will be held in Peru on June 16, 2024.

Sonipat, June 10, 2024: Orchids The International School, Sonipat Campus’s Xth grade student, Sahil Rawat has bagged two Gold medals in the prestigious South Asian Table Tennis Academy Championship, organised by the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association. Sahil won duo Gold in U15 Teams and U15 Doubles categories and qualified for the World Table Tennis Championship 2024. He will be representing India at the Global forum, which will be held in Peru on June 16, 2024.
 

Sahil emerged as the winner amongst many participants from various South Asian countries including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. He showcased exceptional skill and determination at the South Asian Table Tennis Academy Championship, highlighting his hard work and commitment to the sport.
 

Sahil has been practising Table Tennis persistently for 8 years and aims to become the World’s number one Table Tennis Player. His goal is to represent and win a medal for the country in the Olympic sports. So far, Sahil has secured overall 2 International medals and 15+ Domestic medals in his Table Tennis Career. Currently, he is being coached by Peter Nilson, Veer Saran, Manisha Verma, and Halim from PSPB Table Tennis Academy.

 
Delighted to represent India at an International Championship, Sahil expressed, “I am super excited and honoured that I have got this golden opportunity to represent my country at the World Table Tennis Championships. My hardwork and rigorous efforts have paid off. I am thankful to my coaches Peter Nilson, Veer Saran, Manisha Verma, and Halim, and Orchids The International School and my parents, who have collectively played a crucial role in supporting my table tennis journey. They have encouraged me to perform better, and motivated me to aim higher.”
