"Organizing community kitchens or 'bhandaras', a good way of fulfilling your social responsibility": Social worker Amitabh Rungta
Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organises its 127th community kitchen
Panchkula, August 19: 'Karma' is considered important in the scriptures and there are many deeds described in them through which a person can fulfil his or her 'social responsibility'. Organising a community kitchen or 'bhandara' is also one such deed which if done with true feelings, can help a person fulfil his or her 'social responsibility' very well. This was said by the founder of Non-Governmental Organisation, or NGO, Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation and social worker Amitabh Rungta at the 127th community kitchen organised by the Foundation in Industrial Area, Phase 1, Panchkula.
Amitabh Rungta, has set an example by holding 127 community kitchens so far thereby fulfilling his social responsibility well. He said that the peace that feeding a needy passerby provides to the mind is difficult to describe in words, it can only be felt. He said that common people, social workers and organizations should also come forward to organize 'Ann Bhandaras'.
Foundation workers - Anupama Rungta, Chaitanya Rungta, Pragati, Sukhpal Singh, Suresh Jangra were also present during the organization of the bhandara.
