Orientation Program begins at GHSC - 10 

Chandigarh, July 26, 2024: An orientation program was conducted for the incoming class of B. Sc. Home Science First Year at Government Home Science College today. 

On the first day, the orientation started with an in depth presentation on the rules and regulations of the New Education Policy. The scheme of studies for B.Sc. first year was discussed and explained to the student's in details by syllabus incharge Dr. Ritu Pradhan and Dr. Sonia. This was followed by a presentation given by all the departments of the college which also included the various activities conducted throughout the year. 

Dr. Namrata Sethi, Dr. Neha Sharma, Anila and Annu, Akshata and Shalu conducted the presentations for their respective departments. The students were apprised of NCC and NSS programs as well as extra curricular activities conducted by Major Neelam Kumari and Dr. Neha. This was a beginning of a part of orientation program to enable the students to make their choices for major and minor subjects. 

Principal of the college Prof. Sudha Katyal welcomed the students and asked them to choose their subjects wisely and apprise themselves with the rules and regulations of NEP 2020.
