Orientation programme to welcome new batch of MBA (2023-24)

Chandigarh, July 21, 2023: University Institute of Applied and Management Science, Panjab university organised the orientation programme to welcome the new batch of MBA (2023-24) today.

Obeying the convention of the institution, the programme commenced with the institute anthem followed by lamp lighting.

The commencement of the event was marked by the cordial welcome speech presented by the Director of the department Prof. Monika Aggarwal. She addressed the students and welcomed them to the prestigious institute. She also familiarised the students with the rules and regulations of the institution. Succeeding that, the Chief guest Prof. Jatinder Grover, Dean, Students’ Welfare, graced the programme by his deliverance to the new comers.  He asked them to solely focus on building their skills, which would help them to face the world in future.

Following that, Col. Vivek Sharma boosted confidence in the students by discussing a varsity of opportunities lined up for the students. Dr. Sohan Chandel motivated the students for hard work and honesty, and encouraged them to take up the challenges and be the forerunners in the development of the country. Mr. Vibhu  Aggarwal, in his address laid importance on positivity in perspective. Mr. Jatin Kumar shared his own journey & how it helped him to grow and succeed in life.

Dr. Naveen Kumar introduced the faculty members of the department and exhorted the students to remain motivated against all odds.

Thereafter, briefing of the various clubs and societies was done.

The day ended with a vote of thanks by research scholar Ms. Bhawna to the guests.

The event was graced by the faculty members and research scholars of the department.
