Over 2000 participants run in `Tridhaatu Monsoon 10K Run’
Bollywood Actor Farhan Akhtar motivated the runners and promoted stopping online abuse
Mumbai, August 8, 2022: With ever increasing participation every year, the eighth edition of the Tridhaatu Monsoon 10K Run saw an overwhelming response from marathoners and fitness enthusiasts from Chembur, Mumbai and from outside of Maharashtra. Over 2000 participants pounded the roads of Chembur beating the rain showers and chilling breeze of the Sunday morning to participate in Chembur's annual flagship event. Drawing such a magnanimous response, the Tridhaatu Monsoon 10K Run has become one of the prominent runs of the city.
This year the run was organized along with MARD and Population Foundation India. Bollywood Actor Farhan Akhtar flagged-off the run at 06.00 am in the morning and motivated the runners in the spirit of ending cyber abuse and creating a safer online world for all.
The title for the 10K Run 2022 was clinched by Karan Sharma in a stellar 34 minutes 35 seconds. Rutuja Sakpal won the title in the women's category.
Dhananjay Sandu, Co-founder & Managing Director, Tridhaatu Realty thanked the participants for their overwhelming participation and making the marathon a success. "The purpose of the event is to promote Healthy Living along with stopping online abuse and crimes that have been affecting the lives of the people. We are trying to do our bit to make the internet safer for all," said Mr. Sandu. The Tridhaatu 10K Monsoon Run as an annual event, brings participants together for a goal, helps create better individuals that in turn create better communities, he added.
The winners were awarded with trophies and the runners received the finishers’ medals.
