Ferozepur, November 24, 2014: Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus got marvellous response from industries for conducting campus placement drive after getting accreditation from National Board of accreditation (NBA).
Seven companies have conducted screening tests, group discussion and interviews. They have selected 35 students with a pay packages Rs 2-6 lacs. Another multinational Company Infosys is conducting Campus Placement drive at SBS Campus during 6-7 December and many more companies are in touch with Placement Officer Dr Satvir Singh and waiting for such placement drives.
Dr. T.S. Sidhu, Campus Director, while congratulating the students said that under the guidance of Chairman BoG Dinesh Lakra, recently five B.Tech courses of the institute have got accreditation from NBA and now institute is stepping towards for getting its B.Tech Degree internationally recognised across major countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, and UK, etc. which are members of Washington Accord.
India is now a permanent member of the Washington Accord, according to which any course accredited by its National Board of Accreditation (NBA) will be equal in nature by all means to degree obtained from USA, Canada, Australia, and UK etc for practicing in these countries.
