Overwhelming response in CICU 9th Mega Job Fair-2023
Today, CICU in association with District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises Ludhiana and Govt. of Punjab, organised the 9th Mega Job Fair, in which more than 120 companies participated with the demand of 5022 candidates in different trades.
Ludhiana, May 17, 2023: Today, CICU in association with District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises Ludhiana and Govt. of Punjab, organised the 9th Mega Job Fair, in which more than 120 companies participated with the demand of 5022 candidates in different trades like Welder, Helper, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, CNC/VMC Operator, Electrician Operator, MMV & Diesel Mechanic, Computer Operator, Documentation Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Admin Executive, Digital Marketing Executive, HR Manager/Assistant, Diploma Engineer, B.A, B.COM, 12th Pass-Out and other Industrial Sectors also covered in this fair.
Around 6000 candidates participated in this Job Fair and around 3184 Candidates were selected from various industrial trades.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU and Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU mentioned that CICU’s aim is to provide sustainable manpower to the industry and jobs to the unemployed youngsters free of cost. CICU created a platform for the industry to fulfil their demands of Manpower in this Mega Job Fair.
Further, CICU intends to employ local youth, who are readily available throughout the year. Accordingly, CICU has decided to take suitable measures for accessing the job opportunities and avenues available with industrial sector in Punjab. This measure will help in assisting the uneducated and unemployed youth of rural areas to get employment as per industrial requirement and help in their growth.
Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola), M.L.A, Ludhiana East and Kulwant Singh Sidhu, M.L.A, Atam Nagar, Ludhiana and Jorawar Singh Mundian, Chairman, Budhewal Sugar Mills graced the fair by their presence and appreciated the work for being done for the society.
DPS Kharbanda, Director, Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab visited the Job Fair and appreciated the efforts done by CICU. They also assured the industry that an apprenticeship scheme should be promoted and input should be given to adding some trades in ITI.

Baljinder Singh NCC Office, ITI Ludhiana and Sukhman Mann, Employment Officer and Deepak Bhalla, Deputy CEO from the District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (Govt. of Punjab), Ludhiana supported the Job fair by arranging the candidates.
Industry Representative- J.S Bhogal, Organizing Secretary, Gautam Malhotra, Vice President, Sanjay Dhiman, Vice President Kanish Kaura, Vice President, Rajat Gupta, Press Secretary, Didarjit Singh, Vice President and other prominent member were present.
