Ludhiana: Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar today in Ludhiana acknowledged the Edition of Coffee Table Book titled, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib”, compiled by Punjab based Lawyer and Author Harpreet Sandhu, dedicated to 400th Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and applauded the dedicated efforts of Harpreet Sandhu and shared that the relevance and timing of the coffee table bookis most appropriate keeping in view the pious day 400 th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib.
Dr. Patar described the Coffee Table Book of immense importance as it depicts the pious journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib” from his Birth till Martyrdom through replete colourful visuals of Gurudwara Guru ka Mahal (Amritsar), Gurudwara Vayah Asthan (Kartarpur, District Jalandhar), Gurudwara Bhora Sahib (Baba Bakala), Gurudwara Thara Sahib (Amritsar), Gurudwara Guru Ke Mahal (Bhora Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib), Gurudwara Thara Sahib (Sri Anandpur Sahib), Gururwara Dukh Niwaran Patiala, Gurudwara Guru Ke Bagh, Patna Sahib, Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib (Chandni Chowk, Delhi), Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib (Delhi), Gurudwara Bibangarh Sahib (Ropar), Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib (Sri Anandpur Sahib), Gurudwara Akal Bunga Sahib (Sri Anandpur Sahib).
Dr. Surjit Patar further stated that we are indeed fortunate that through his passion for photography and documentaries, Harpreet Sandhu has allowed us to follow the steps of our enlightened Guru Ji. He also applauded the efforts of Harpreet Sandhu who has dedicated this pious work to the sacred memory of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, who left a deep imprint of his personality and trails in the annals of our history.
Dr. Patar congratulated all for the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and said that we all must make a resolution to follow the preaching and discourse of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji, who selflessly served the society and spread message of peace and universal brotherhood and also stated that the coffee tab;e book covers the pictorial message of what Guru Ji taught us to fight and save rights of others. His philosophy, “Give your head, but forsake not those whom you have undertaken to protect. Sacrifice your life, but relinquish not your faith” is most relevant these days. Dr. Patar after previewing the Coffee Table Book described it to be a divine effort of Harpreet Sandhu as this pious work will be of immense interest, which has been beautifully portrayed through the pictorial visuals of the holy shrines, where Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib left his foot prints.
