Film highlights magnificent demonstration of live dare devil Martial Art skills performed by the Nihangs during the Hola Mohalla festival 2022 held on the pious land of Sri Anandpur Sahib captured through lens by Film Maker Harpreet Sandhu.
Ludhiana, April 10, 2022: Chairman Punjab Arts Council & Eminent Punjabi Poet Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar today released Short Film titled “Spectacular Hola Mohalla 2022”.
The Film show cases the spectacular traditional colourful festival of Punjab Hola Mohalla which conveys the message of courage and defense highlighting the magnificent demonstration of live dare devil Martial Art skills of tent pegging, bareback horse-riding, standing erect on two speeding horses and various other feats of bravery in their full finery performed by Nihangs, beautifully depicting on screen the sound of Gurbani hymns emanating from the holy places all over Sri Anandpur Sahib. The Documentary film also portrays the rare shoots traditional and modern weaponry skills.
Dr. Surjit Patar while releasing the online Film appreciated the dedicated efforts of Harpreet Sandhu for making this meaningful film for the people of Punjab which will be of immense interest for the younger generation, as the film beautifully portrays the colossal traditional Festival – Hola Mohalla.
